These last few months have literally flown by. Well not literally, literally. Oh, whatever.
Piper is six months old. SIX MONTHS PEOPLE.
Kapri loves her. Piper is learning to love her back. You see, Kapri doesn't take no for an answer. She doesn't care if you don't like her, or if you find her annoying, or overbearing (not that I'm saying she's either of these things)... she MAKES you love her. You can't help but breath her in when she's smothering you with her bear hugs, while telling you "I wugg you". That child can brighten any rainy day.
(This picture was not "posed".. mmmm. That little hitch-hiker toe on my older daughter.. just like her father's. Let me count the ways that prove she's his.)

I have a book from when Kapri was a baby. It has all the "firsts". First tooth, first smile first blah blah blah. Lately I find myself getting it out just to see how her and Piper match up. Here are their six month stats.
Kapri
28 3/4 inches tall (90-95 percentile)
18 lbs 9 oz (90-95th percentile)
Piper
14 lbs 1 oz (25th percentile)
25 3/4 inches tall (50th percentile)
So. Basically, Piper feels tiny.
I had to stop nursing about a month ago because she wasn't getting enough from me (sad day), so the fact that she was pretty much starving might have something to do with her size. But, no worries. She has put on two pounds since she went to straight formula. I do not recieve the mother of the day award for trying to breastfeed as long as I could. Boo. Kapri only nursed until 4 1/2 months. Piper almost made it to 5 1/2 months. Thats a record here in this house. I should feel proud. Instead, I feel like a bad mom for not realizing that she wasn't getting enough nutrients/calories.
Kapri crawled at 8 1/2 months. Piper is already getting up on her hands and knees. At this point she can pretty much roll wherever she wants. Gone are the days where I could sit her in the middle of the bed/floor and walk away for more than thirty seconds.
We did her six month pictures a few days ago and HOLY MOLY that child is cute. Seriously. Its not even just me that thinks so. Here.. see for yourself.
I remember when I was younger, sitting and wondering what my kids would look like, how their personalities would be. I couldn't have dreamt up any better.

In other news...
I just realized recently that I never shared pictures of Piper's room with all of my faithful blog followers. Hello. You still around people??
But don't worry.. here's one for your viewing pleasure.
My absolute favorite room in the house.
Drumroll please.
Now aint that just a little slice of heaven?
I rocked Piper to sleep tonight. I don't usually do that. It was the perfect ending to my day.
