The Friday before Halloween Cody's work had everyone bring their kids to trick or treat. Each desk/office had treat. Kapri was FASCINATED by all of the other costumes. She doesn't quite get the concept of pulling the candy out of the bowl. She would put her hand in and play with it, but wouldn't grab anything. I eventually started getting the candy for her. She was perfectly content with two pieces of candy, one for each hand.
They had cookies for everyone and Cody thought it would be a good idea to give her a chocolate chip one. Once he realized how BIG of a mess it was making he said "that probably wasn't a good idea, huh?". I was really proud of myself.. I took a few deep breaths and let her go at it. I have a really hard time with letting her make a mess of herself.. but I'm getting better!!
On Halloween we went to Cody's mom's to trick-or-treat and show off our monster. Frank answered the door in his "scarecrow" get-up. Kapri was NOT a fan!!
Kapri got her very first ride on the three wheeler!! Cody took her around the cul-de-sac.. and I was super nervous. But, then I got on it with her.. and once I realized how secure she was, wedged between my legs and holding her against me with one hand.. I zoomed outta that place, never to return!! Okay, we returned, and I really didn't zoom. It was more like we coasted outta there, but she LOVED it!!
Her cousins Taisha and Brayden came over to show off their costumes too.
Once we got home Kapri was pretty pooped, she hadn't had a nap and it was starting to show.
We took her trick-or-treating to two houses and called it good. Afterall, she had NO idea what was going on, it was all for me. The crazy mom.
We took her home and put her to bed at 7:30, which is a little earlier than her normal bedtime, but man was she relieved. Her poor little face was saying "I just want to sleep, you crazy woman!!"
LOL I love Friar Tuck!! your family is so cute.
